poDaganTi


Annamaiah expresses his immense joy in seeing Venkatesa and describes Him as his treasure, parijatamu (wish-fulfilling flower), chintamani (precious stone), and kamadhenu (wish-fulfilling cow). He adds that Venkatanatha is the panacea to solve all his problems.

poDa ganTi mayya mimmu purushottamA mammu
neDayaka vayya kOnETi rAyaDA ||

Oh Purushottama, we have found you. Oh king of Pushkarini tank, don't leave us.

kOri mammu nElinaTTi kula daivamA, chAla
nErichi pedda lichchina nidhanamA
gAra vinchi dappi deerchu kAla mEghamA, mAku
chEruva chittamu loni SreenivAsuDA ||

Oh deity of my family, you took care of us. You are the treasure our elders gave us. You are the water bearing cloud to quench our thirst. oh Srinivasa, you are in our conscience.

bhAvimpa gaivasamaina pArijAtamA mammu
chEva dEra gAchi naTTi chintA maNi
kAminchi kOrika lichchE kAma dhEnuvA mammu
tAvai rakshim chETi dharaNi dharA ||

You are the wish-fullfilling Parijata tree. You are Chintamani the divine gem to protect us. You are Kamadhenu, the divine cow, to fulfill wishes. Oh Lord, You are our safe abode.

cheDa neeka bratikinchE siddhamantramA, rOgA
laNachi rakshimchE divyaushadhamA
baDi bAyaka tirigE praNa bandhuDa mammu
gaDi yinchi naTTi Sree vEnkata nAdhuDA ||

You are our sacred mantra to lead our lives piously. You are the divine medicine to cure all diseases. You are always with me like my close relative. Oh Venkatesa, you are my Lord.
